Petitioner had filed Ext.P2 appeal against Ext.P1 assessment order. Ext.P4 is the stay petition. In the meantime, the petitioner is faced with revenue recovery proceedings pursuant to Ext.P5. 2. Heard the learned Government Pleader.
3. Having regard to the aforesaid factual situation, I am of the view that the direction can be issued to the appellate authority to dispose of the stay petition Ext.P4.
4. In the result, this writ petition is disposed of as under:
The 1st respondent shall dispose of Ext.P4 stay petition within a period of one month from the date of receipt of a copy of this judgment and until such time, Ext.P5 shall be kept in abeyance.
