Order: (per Hon’ble Sri Justice Sanjay Kumar) This petition was filed seeking a Writ of Habeas Corpus for production of Vemula Ramesh, Smt. Vemula Anjali Devi and Vemula Chiranjeevi, who are stated to be the son, daughter-in-law and grand son of the petitioner respectively.
The allegations in the writ petition are to the effect that, with the connivance of the police authorities, the detenus were confined by respondent Nos. 4 and 5.
A counter affidavit has been filed by the Sub-Inspector of Police, Chodavaram Police Station, Visakhapatnam District and upon perusing the contents thereof, the learned counsel for the petitioner states that the writ petition may be closed.
In that view of the matter, the writ petition is dismissed. Pending miscellaneous applications shall also stand dismissed. No order as to costs.
