HON’BLE SRI JUSTICE P.NAVEEN RAO WRIT PETITION No.33684 of 2014 ORDER:
On 15.09.2013 an advertisement was published in Sakshi Telugu News Paper calling for applications for enlistment as LPG distributors in various locations in the erstwhile State of Andhra Pradesh, including the locations of Rameshwaram and Ammavarisala in Kadapa District. The petitioners herein have applied for enlistment as LPG distributors in Rameshwaram and Ammavarisala. The controversy in this writ petition is regarding Rameshwaram location. After scrutiny of their applications, the petitioners 1, 2, 3 and 6 were informed vide a letter dated 29.09.2014 that their applications were found to be defective for the reasons mentioned therein which include the non- consideration of PF as eligibility criteria and not having the land in the location. In so far as the 6th petitioner is concerned the additional objection was that her surname is not tallying. The petitioners 4 and 5 were also given similar notices on 14.09.2014. The petitioners 1, 2, 3 and 6 have filed their explanations on 09.10.2014 and petitioners 4 and 5 have filed their explanations on 14.10.2014.
2. This writ petition is instituted contending that without considering the objection of the petitioners, the respondent-Corporation is proceeding to finalise the selection in Rameshwaram location.

On instructions, learned Standing Counsel submits that in so far as the 1st petitioner is concerned, the application was scrutinised and found to be eligible for participating in the selections by draw of lots. With reference to petitioners 2 to 6, the explanations submitted by them are yet to be considered and they will be considered in due course of time before finalisation of the list of eligible applicants who can be subjected selection by draw of lots.
4. Having regard to the submissions made by the learned Standing Counsel, this writ petition is disposed of directing the respondent-Corporation to consider the explanations submitted by the petitioners 2 to 6 before finalising the list of eligible candidates subjecting them for selection by draw of lots. If the petitioners are aggrieved by any decision they are at liberty to work out their remedies. There shall be no order as to costs.
5. Miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in this writ petition shall stand closed.
