Respondent Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Mandamus by directing the respondent to issue patta based on the representation of the petitioner dated 6.7.2012, in respect of the property Plot No.15-A, Block No.22, L.B.Road, measuring 2,800 sq.ft. Comprised in T.S.No.2, Oorur Village, Triplicane, Mylapore Taluk, based on the representation of the petitioner dated 6.7.2012 forthwith.

ORDER
The petitioner has filed the present Writ Petition for the relief stated above.
2. According to the petitioner, he made an Application on 6.7.2012 seeking for patta in respect of the property mentioned in the representation, to the respondent. As no order has been passed on the said Application, the present Writ Petition has been filed.
3. However, the learned Special Government Pleader submitted that it appears that no such application has been made by the petitioner and even no acknowledgment has been filed in the typed set of papers for having submitted such Application. He further submitted that if such an Application is still pending, the respondent will consider the same on merits and in accordance with law.
4. Considering the nature and limited scope of the prayer made, without going into the merits of the matter, this Court directs the respondent to consider and dispose of the Application of the petitioner dated 06.07.2012 on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of four months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
5. The petitioner is also directed to submit a copy of the said Application along with a copy of this order to the respondent within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
6. With the above directions, the Writ Petition is disposed of.
No costs.
