The sole grievance of the petitioner is that the Election Petition being Election Petition No. 02893 of 2021 (Computerized Case No. T202109550602893), was not being decided and, therefore, a prayer for a direction has been made that the election petition be decided expeditiously within a stipulated period of time.
Learned Standing Counsel states that all endeavour shall be made to decide the aforesaid election petition.
Under such circumstances, without going into the merits of the case, it is being directed that the Election Petition No. 02893 of 2021 (Computerized Case No. T202109550602893), be decided within a period of six months from the date the private respondents are served.
With these observations, the writ petition is disposed of.
