JUDGMENT / ORDER

Heard learned counsel for the parties.
It has been stated by the learned counsel for the petitioners that the proceedings, which pertain to an objection under section 9A(2) of the U.P. Consolidation of Holdings Act, have been pending between the parties since the year 1979. The matter came up before the Dy. Director of Consolidation who by his order dated 1.2.2012 directed the parties to appear before the Consolidation Officer. It is stated that this order was complied with, yet final orders have not been passed by the Consolidation Officer although two years have elapsed since.
Under the circumstances, the Consolidation Officer, respondent no. 1, is directed to dispose the Case No. 335 under section 9-A(2): Shafi Ahmad Vs. Jan Mohammad within a period of 3 months from the date of the production of certified copy of this order. The Consolidation Officer shall decide the case after providing opportunity of hearing to all concerned and without granting unnecessary adjournments to either of the parties.
With the aforesaid directions, the writ petition is disposed of.
