Heard Sri Gaurav Sisodia for the petitioner and Standing Counsel for State of U.P.
This writ petition has been filed for mandamus directing State of U.P. and District Magistrate to decide the application of the petitioner for transfer of firearm license, in his favour from the name of his father.
Since the weapon is NPB Rifle, as such, the application has been forwarded to the State Government, which is the competent authority.
In the facts of the case, the writ petition is disposed of directing the Principal Secretary/Secretary, Govt. of U.P., to pass appropriate order on the application of the petitioner, relating to transfer of firearm license, as forwarded to it, within two months from the date of producing a certified copy of this order before it.
