JUDGMENT / ORDER

In these writ petitions, the petitioners have approached this Court seeking for release of their vehicles bearing Reg. Nos. TN-57/AZ-8272, TN-57/AZ-1959, TN- 57/AZ-8271 and TN/AZ-8262, on the ground that the said vehicles were seized on the allegation of violating the provisions of Kerala Minor Mineral Concession Rules, 1967.
2. The learned Government Pleader, on instructions, would submit that the vehicles were involved in mining clay rather than ordinary earth and adjudication in that regard is necessary before releasing the vehicles.
3. It is not in dispute that appropriate adjudication has to be made by the competent authority. Under such circumstances, when such an issue is pending consideration by the respondent, I am of the view that the vehicles in question shall be released on certain conditions.
4. The petitioners shall deposit an amount of Rs.25,000/- each before the respondent in these cases with requisite applications. The petitioners' shall also give a bond to the respondent undertaking to produce the vehicles as and when called upon by the competent authority. On receipt of such amount as security and bond, the W.P(C) Nos. 15757, 15758, 15759 and 15760 of 2014 -: 2 :-
respondent shall release the vehicles in question. The entire process shall be completed within two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this judgment.
