This writ petition is filed for the following substantive relief: “….to issue an appropriate Writ, order or direction, more particularly in the nature of Writ of Mandamus, declaring the proceedings of the 1st respondent vide Memo.No.CGM(Fin)/GM(Rev)/SAO/AAO/SA/HT/D.No.432/14, dated 13-08-2014 in so far as it relates to not granting two months time for payment of C.C. bills for the months of June/2014 and July/2014, as illegal, arbitrary and unconstitutional and consequently direct the respondents to grant two months time for payment of CC bills for the Months of June and July of 2014 amounting to Rs.45,79,575=00 {ii.e., Rs.23,82,632/- + Rs.21,96,943/-} and to pass such other orders as this Hon’ble Court may deem fit and proper in the circumstances of the case.”
On 04.09.2014, the case was adjourned at the request of the learned counsel for the petitioner. On 12.09.2014, the case was again adjourned in view of non-appearance of the learned counsel for the petitioner. Even today, when the matter is called, there is no representation for the petitioner. Hence, it is reasonable to presume that the petitioner is not interested in pursuing its cause in the writ petition.
The writ petition is, therefore, dismissed for non-prosecution.
As a sequel to the dismissal of the writ petition, W.P.M.P.No.31348 of 2014 shall stand disposed of as infructuous.
