JUDGMENT / ORDER

THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE NOOTY RAMAMOHANA RAO WRIT PETITION No.36298 of 2014 Between:
1. Vaddineni Ramulu @ Ramamma and others.
PETITIONERS AND 1. The State of Andhra Pradesh, rep. by its Principal Secretary, Revenue Department, Secretariat, Hyderabad, and another.
RESPONDENTS ORDER:
The petitioners appear to have submitted a representation to the Revenue Divisional Officer, Kavali, the 3rd respondent herein, on 16.06.2014 for conducting enquiry to correct the names in the Revenue Records. The Revenue Divisional Officer has directed the Tahsildar Kaligiri Mandal, the 4th respondent herein, to take necessary action in the matter. Complaining that the 4th respondent has not passed any orders so far, the present writ petition is filed.
Whenever an application seeking correction or amendment of revenue records is submitted in terms of Section 4 of the A.P. Rights in Land and Pattadar Pass Books Act, 1971, read with Rule 18 of the Rules thereof, the procedure prescribed under Section 5 thereof should be followed faithfully and necessary action should be taken.
In view of the same, the 3rd respondent is directed to finalise the entire action within a maximum period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and communicate the decision taken thereon to the petitioner herein.
With the above direction, the writ petition is disposed of. No order as to costs. As a sequel, miscellaneous petitions, if any, shall stand closed.
