JUDGMENT / ORDER

The petitioner has filed the above Writ Petition to issue a writ of mandamus directing the respondents to consider and pass orders on the application dated 27.02.2017 for issuance of patta.
2. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that though the petitioner has given his application as early as on 27.02.2017 for the issuance of patta, the respondents have not issued the same yet.

3. Mr.A.N.Thambidurai, learned Special Government Pleader, taking notice for the respondents submitted that the second respondent may be directed to consider the petitioner's application and pass order in accordance with law.
4. Having regard to the submissions made by the learned counsel on either side, taking into consideration the limited prayer sought for in the Writ Petition, without expressing any opinion with regard to the merits of the case, I direct the second respondent to consider the application of the petitioner dated 27.02.2017, for issuance of patta and pass orders on merits in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
5. With this observation, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
