Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Certiorari to call for the records pertaining to the order in G.O.(Ms)No.270 dated 11.06.2004 on the file of the 1st respondent herein and quash the same.
For Petitioner : Mr.R.Natarajan For Respondent : Mr.A.Zakkir Hussain Government Advocate O R D E R This petitioner has filed this writ petition challenging the order passed in G.O.(Ms)No.270 dated 11.06.2004 wherein the first respondent declared 568 Town Panchayats as Village Panchayats.

Learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents submitted that the writ petitions in W.P.Nos.38738 & 38800/2003 filed for a similar prayer were already disposed of by the Division Bench of this Court on 20.07.2006 and he has also produced evidence for the same. He further submitted that the said letter was sent to the first respondent for perusal and consideration.
3. In view of the above, learned counsel for the petitioner sought permission of this court to withdraw the writ petition.
Recording the submission and endorsement made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, the writ petition is dismissed as infructuous. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
