JUDGMENT / ORDER

Heard Sri S.K. Mishra, learned counsel for the petitioner, Sri Sachindra Upadhyay, learned counsel for the respondent no.1 and Sri A. Chaturvedi, learned counsel for the respondent no.2.
By means of the present writ petition, the petitioner has prayed for quashing the impugned order dated 01.04.2014 passed under Section 14-B and 7-Q of the E.P.F. & M.P. Act, 1952 leaving damages and the interest on account of delayed remittance of PF dues. The amount under Section 14-B comes to the tune of Rs.1610382/- and the amount under Section 7-Q comes to the tune of Rs.541137/-.
The matter requires consideration.
Learned counsel for the respondents prays for and is granted three weeks' time to file counter affidavit. Rejoinder affidavit, if any, may be filed within a week thereafter. List thereafter.
Till the next date of listing, the impugned order dated 01.04.2014 shall remain stayed subject to deposit of half of the amount issued under Sections 14-B and 7-Q of the Act within four weeks.
