This is a writ petition by an alleged registered society seeking a writ of mandamus commanding the State to frame a scheme for compensating the victims of Covid-19 Pandemic as also for immediately creating a corpus of Compensation Fund for these victims and their families and also to create a dedicated dashboard and appoint a Nodal Officer in each district of Uttar Pradesh to facilitate execution of compensatory amount to the families of victims who lost their lives in this Pandemic.
This writ petition does not mention the details of the persons who may be entitled to compensation. If any individual grievance is raised and compensation is sought, then this Court could have considered the same depending upon the facts of the case in the light of the law prevalent, however, considering the nature of the relief sought herein we are not inclined to interfere in this matter at this stage, instead the petitioner may approach the concerned in the State Government raising his grievance and seeking the reliefs as has been sought herein which can be considered, if there is no legal impediment in this regard. With these observations this writ petition is disposed off.
