Union Of India And Ors vs Updesh Singh And Ors

High Court Of Judicature at Allahabad|30 May, 2018
|

JUDGMENT / ORDER

Court No. - 34
Case :- WRIT - A No. - 5317 of 2015 Petitioner :- Union Of India And 2 Ors. Respondent :- Updesh Singh And 4 Ors. Counsel for Petitioner :- Tarun Verma Counsel for Respondent :- N.P. Singh
Hon'ble Sudhir Agarwal,J. Hon'ble Ifaqat Ali Khan,J.
1. Called in revise. None appeared to press this writ petition. Learned Standing Counsel, Sri N.P. Singh and Sri Uma Dutt Shukla, Advocates are present for respondents. In the circumstances, we ourselves have perused the record.
2. By means of present writ petition, petitioners have sought following relief:
"(i) a writ, order or direction in the nature of certiorari quashing the order dated 29.08.2014 passed by the Central Administrative Tribunal, Allahabad in Original Application No. 112 of 2011, Updesh Singh and others Vs. Union of India and others (Annexure '3' to the writ petition) and dismiss the O.A. in toto."
3. We ourselves have gone through the pleadings, grounds as also relief sought and find that petitioners are not able to make out a case so as to justify interference of this Court by granting relief, as prayed for.
4. Moreover, it appears that either the cause of action no more survives or the petitioners have lost interest in this matter or it has otherwise become infructuous and, probably for this reason, none is interested to have decided this matter on merits and that is why, counsel for petitioners is absent.
5. Dismissed. Interim order, if any, stands vacated.
