Union Of India And Ors vs Akash Yadav And Ors

High Court Of Judicature at Allahabad|25 April, 2018
|

JUDGMENT / ORDER

Court No. - 34
Case :- WRIT - A No. - 52163 of 2014 Petitioner :- Union Of India And 4 Ors Respondent :- Akash Yadav And 15 Ors Counsel for Petitioner :- Udai Chandani,N.P. Shukla
Hon'ble Sudhir Agarwal,J. Hon'ble Ifaqat Ali Khan,J.
1. Called in revise. None appeared to press the writ petition. In the circumstances, we ourselves have perused the record.
2. By means of present writ petition, petitioners have sought following reliefs:
(i) Issue a suitable writ, order or direction in the nature of certiorari for quashing the impugned order dated 7.8.2013 passed by the Central Administrative Tribunal, Allahabad Bench, Allahabad in Original Application No. 989 of 2013 (Akash Yadav & others Vs. Union of India & others).
(ii) Issue a suitable writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus directing the petitioners to proceed with the selection process of the selected candidates in pursuance of the notification dated 20.4.2013.
3. We ourselves have gone through the pleadings, grounds as also reliefs sought and find that petitioner is not able to make out a case so as to justify interference of this Court by granting relief as prayed for.
4. Morever, it appears that either the cause of action no more survives or the petitioner has lost interest in this matter or it has otherwise become infructuous and probably for this reason, none is interested to have decided this matter on merits and that is why, counsel for petitioner is absent.
5. Dismissed. Interim order, if any, stands vacated.
Order Date :- 25.4.2018 SKS
