Heard Sri Sunil Kumar Ram, learned counsel for the petitioner and learned standing counsel for the respondents.
The petitioners in the writ petition are seeking a direction to the respondent no.4 District Inspector of Schools, Ballia to ensure the payment of arrears of salary to the petitioners since March 2011 to March 2014 with interest within the time specified.
It is further stated that the petitioners have filed a representation on 7.6.2016 before the respondent no.4 District Inspector of Schools which is annexed as annexure 5 to the writ petition but till date no order has been passed by respondent no.4.
No useful purpose would be served in keeping the petition pending.
This writ petition is, therefore, disposed of with a direction to the respondent no. 4 District Inspector of Schools, Ballia to take a decision on the representation of the petitioners in accordance with law, expeditiously preferably within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a certified copy of this order in his office.
It is made clear that the court has not adjudicated the claim of the petitioners on merit.
