Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Standing Counsel for the State-respondents.
The writ petition has been filed seeking the following relief -
"i.issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus direct the learned Board of Revenue, U.P. at Allahabad / respondent no.1 to expedite hearing and early decide Second Appeal No.12 of 2012-13 ( Uma Shankar Singh Vs. Village Panchayat & others) under Section 331 (3) of the U.P. Zamindari Abolition and Land Reforms Act within the period specified by this Hon'ble Court."
It has been stated that the second appeal is pending at the stage of final hearing since the year 2012-13.
The writ petition is disposed of with the observation that the Board of Revenue U.P. at Allahabad may endeavour to decide the second appeal as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of three months from the date a certified copy of this order is filed before him.
