This writ petition has been filed for mandamus directing the respondents to pay gratuity and other post benefits dues to the petitioner, in pursuance of G.O. dated 24.2.2016.
It has been stated that the petitioner retired from the post of Project Economist on 30.9.2017. Although he is entitled for post retiral dues, including gratuity, under the G.O. dated 24.2.2016, but it has not been paid till today. The petitioner has moved a representation in this respect, which is pending.
The writ petition is disposed of giving liberty to the petitioner to file copy of the representation, along with all necessary papers as well as a certified copy of this order before Commissioner, Rural Development (respondent-2) within two weeks, who shall decide the representation of the petitioner, by a reasoned and speaking order, within two months thereafter.
