Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned A.G.A. for the State.
The first prayer made in the instant petition is for quashing the externment order dated 23.10.2020 passed by Additional District Magistrate, Etawah in Case No. 0545/2020 (Computer Case No. D202003220000 545) State vs. Ujjawal Pratap, under Section 3 (1) of U.P. Control of Goondas Act, 1970. A further prayer has been made that the respondents be directed not to implement the said order.
At the very outset, learned counsel for the petitioner states that the period of externment has already expired. He submitted that the appeal filed by the petitioner against the said externment order may be directed to be decided.
Accordingly, the petition is disposed of with a direction to the appellate authority to decide the appeal of the petitioner expeditiously, if not already decided.
