Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Additional Chief Standing Counsel for the State.

The result of the election has already been declared.

The petitioner for the nature of relief prayed for in the present petition has an alternative and efficacious remedy of election petition under Section - 14(2) of U.P. Kshetriya Panchayat and Zila Panchayat Adhiniyam, 1961. This position is not disputed by the petitioner. Thus, we decline to entertain the present writ petition leaving it open to the petitioner to avail the statutory remedy available under law.

Writ petition is accordingly dismissed.
