JUDGMENT / ORDER

THE HON’BLE SRI JUSTICE SANJAY KUMAR CONEMPT CASE NO.572 OF 2014 DATED 25th JULY, 2014 Between:
Uggirala Veerabhadra Rao And another … Petitioners And Smt.Neethu Prasad, the District Collector, East Godavari District, Kakainada.
… Respondent THE HON’BLE SRI JUSTICE SANJAY KUMAR CONEMPT CASE NO.572 OF 2014 O R D E R This contempt case was instituted alleging disobedience to the order dated 23.03.2011 passed by this Court in WPMP No.17694 of 2010 in W.P.No.14061 of 2010. By the said order, this Court directed the respondent authorities to maintain status quo with regard to the subject land pending further orders. The subject land in the said writ petition was the land in Sy.Nos.1/4 and 1/3 of Chendurthi Village, Gollaprolu Mandal, East Godavari District.
It is now brought to the notice of this Court that the main writ petition, W.P.No.14061 of 2010, was dismissed for non-prosecution on 21.04.2014. That apart, perusal of the proceedings dated 20.12.2013, which is stated to be the manifestation of the act of willful disobedience to the order passed by this Court, reflects that the land in Sy.No.1/1 of Chendurthi Village was allotted thereunder for establishment of a dumping yard. Thus, the said proceedings did not pertain to the land which was the subject matter of the writ petition.
Viewed from any angle, this Court finds no ground to exercise contempt jurisdiction as no disobedience, much less willful disobedience, is established.
The contempt case is accordingly dismissed. No costs.
