1. Called in revise. None appeared on behalf of petitioner.
2. By means of the present writ petition, petitioner has sought the following reliefs:
“(a) issue a writ order of direction in the nature of Mandamus for directing the respondents to immediately review their entire strength of clerical staff under the administrative control of District Development Officer, Mathura and the representation of 20% Group D employees having been promoted departmentally against such strength be confirmed. No further direct recruitment in the clerical cadre be made by them until the target of 20% reservation through appointment of eligible Group 'D' employees to Group 'C' clerical posts is achieved.
(b) issue a writ order of direction in the nature of Mandamus for directing the respondents to place the available clerical posts for filling up through departmental promotion of Group D employees. Due to delaying the holding of departmental examination for such promotion a number of employees have crossed the maximum age limit of 45 years for eligibility in appearing this examination.”
3. However, I have gone through the pleadings, grounds as also reliefs sought and find that petitioner is not able to make out a case so as to justify interference of this Court by granting reliefs, as prayed for.
4. Moreover, it appears that either the cause of action no more survives or that petitioner has lost interest in this matter or it has otherwise become infructuous and, probably for this reason, none is interested to have decided this matter on merits and that is why, counsel for petitioner is absent.
5. Dismissed. Interim order, if any, stands vacated.
