The petitioner is seeking correction in the date of birth, as recorded in her High School Certificate relating to the High School Examination conducted by the Board of High School and Intermediate Education, U.P. Allahabad in the year 1980. The application has been filed recently in July 2017. It is not disputed before this Court that under Chapter III Regulation 7 of the Regulations framed under the U.P. Intermediate Education Act, 1921, the correction in the date of birth could be expected only if request is made within three years of the date of declaration of the examination result.
Concededly, in the instant case, the application seeking correction was filed in July 2017, whereas, the result was declared on 25.7.1980. In such view of the matter, this Court is not inclined to entertain the instant petition and it is accordingly dismissed.
