Madras High Court|30 January, 2017

JUDGMENT / ORDER

1.Issue Notice. Mr.K.Venkatesh, learned Government Advocate, accepts notice on behalf of the respondents 1 to 3.
2.In view of the order that I propose to pass for the moment, no notice needs to be issued vis-a-vis, fourth respondent Bank.
3.The limited relief that the petitioner seeks before me, after advancing arguments in the matter is for a direction to the third respondent to dispose of the revision petition pending before him, apparently, since 21.09.2015.
4.Mr.Venkatesh, says, he would have no objection for this Court directing the third respondent to dispose of the revision petition and that pending the disposal, the respondents 1 to 3 will refrain from taking coercive measures against the petitioner.
5.Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of, with a direction to the third respondent to dispose of the revision petition as expeditiously as possible, not later than eight weeks from today. Pending the disposal of the revision petition, no coercive measures will be taken against the petitioner.
5.1.I may note that the petitioner has informed me that 25% of the tax demanded has already been paid.
5.2.Consequently, the connected pending application is also closed. However, there shall be no order as to costs.
