This writ petition is filed seeking a writ of Mandamus to direct the third respondent to provide water tap connection to the house of the petitioner bearing Door No.4/19, Madiyanoor Village of Avudaiyanoor Panchayat, Tenkasi Taluk, Tirunelveli District.

3.The case of the petitioner is that in order to get water tap connection for her house bearing Door No.4/19, Madiyanoor Village of Avudaiyanoor Panchayat, Tenkasi Taluk, Tirunelveli District, she paid necessary charges to the third respondent panchayat and waited from the year 2009. Since, water tap connection was not given, she made a representation dated 20.06.2016, to the first respondent and the same was also unattended so far.
4.Considering the limited scope of the relief sought for, this Court, without going into the merits of the petitioner's claim, directs the second respondent to consider the claim of the petitioner, if she otherwise satisfies the Rules and to take immediate action, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
5.The writ petition is disposed of as above. No costs.
