JUDGMENT / ORDER

The petition seeks a writ of mandamus against the third respondent for payment of money allegedly due on account of the work done under the scheme of Backward Region Grant Fund and Rashtriya Gram Swaraj Yojna.
The third respondent is not "State" within the meaning of Article 12 of the Constitution. In any event, what is sought is payment of money which relief cannot be granted in the exercise of jurisdiction under Article 226 of the Constitution.
The writ petition is, accordingly, dismissed.
