Heard learned counsel for petitioner and learned Standing Counsel for the State-respondents.
This writ petition has been filed seeking the following among other relief:-
"A. Issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus directing the respondent no. 2/Up Ziladhikari, Tehsil Shahganj, District Jaunpur to decide the case No. T201714365801188 of 2017 under section 116 U.P Revenue Code 2006 2006 within a short period and or pass such other and further order which this Hon'ble Court may fit and proper in the circumstances, of the case."
It is stated by the counsel for the petitioner that a suit for partition, filed by the petitioner is pending consideration since the 2017.
In view of the above, without entering into the merits of the controversy between the parties, I dispose of the writ petition with a direction to the respondent no. 2, Up Ziladhikari, Shahganj, Jaunpur to consider and decide the case under Section 116 of the UP Revenue Code, 2006 expeditiously.
