Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Standing Counsel.
This petition has been preferred seeking consideration of the claim of the petitioner for promotion on the post of Head Constable.
According to the learned counsel although an adverse entry was awarded against the petitioner in 2009, the same cannot operate as a disqualification since more than five years have expired.
Learned Standing Counsel submits that subject to all contentions on merits being left open, the second respondent shall duly consider the claim of the petitioner in accordance with law and dispose it of with expedition and preferably within a period of three months from the date of presentation of a certified copy of this order.
Accordingly and without going into the merits of the claim of the petitioner, this petition shall stand disposed of in light of the statement noted above.
