The Travancore Devaswom Board seeks in this petition sanction of this Court to execute the work of construction of Valiambalam with Balikkalpura at Mundolil Devaswom at 10% below the estimated cost of Rs.18,65,000/- through the nominee of the Temple Advisory Committee.
2. This being a work relating to the construction of Valiambalam with Balikkalpura of the temple, we deem it appropriate to permit the Travancore Devaswom Board to execute the work as requested for, on the following terms:
(i) The work shall be awarded to the nominee of the Temple Advisory committee within one month from today.
(ii) Before awarding the work to the nominee of the Temple Advisory Committee, the Board shall ensure that he is willing to execute the work at 10% below the estimated cost and that he will not claim any revision of rates during the continuance of the work.
(iii) If the nominee of the Temple Advisory Committee is willing to execute the work at the rate agreed upon by him and if the work is awarded to him on that basis, until the work is completed, periodical reports shall be DBP No.150/2014 2 filed by the Devaswom Officer concerned before the Honourable Ombudsman for the Travancore Devaswom Board, indicating the progress of the work.
