This is a petition filed under Article 227 of the Constitution of India seeking a direction to the Additional Sub Court, Thalassery to take up and dispose of A.S.No.71/2013 within a period to be specified by this Court.
2. The petitioner laments that the suit of the year 1966 had reached a conclusion and the final decree proceedings are going on. He was aged 35 years at the time when the suit was filed and now he is far advanced in age and he cherishes the dream of at least enjoying the fruits of the decree for a day. In the hope of doing so, he approaches this Court for a direction to dispose of A.S.No.71/2013 which has been pending over an year as expeditiously as possible.
3. Considering the nature of the reliefs sought for in the petition, it is felt that notice to the respondents is unnecessary.

This petition is disposed of directing the Additional Sub Court, Thalassery to take up A.S.No.71/2013 and dispose it of as expeditiously as possible, at any rate, within a period of three months from the date of receipt of copy of this judgment.
