JUDGMENT / ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by the Hon'ble Chief Justice) This writ petition has been filed by the petitioner seeking a writ of mandamus directing the respondent Nos.1 to 3 to remove the road encroachment as well as water canal encroachment of the 4th respondent in S.No.363 at Karadichithur Village, Chinnasalem Taluk, Villupuram District in accordance with law.
2. Mr.R.Vijayakumar, learned Additional Government Pleader, who accepts notice for respondent Nos.1 to 3, states that the third respondent Tahsildar has already directed the Revenue Inspector to inspect the site vide his proceedings dated 20.2.2017, bearing reference No.Na.Ka.A4/7390/2016.
3. The fourth respondent is a private respondent, who is alleged to have encroached upon the road poramboke and water canal pathway in S.No.363 of Karadichithur village, Chinnasalem Taluk, Villupuram District.
4. The office of the third respondent shall cause inspection of the site in question i.e., road poramboke and water canel pathway in Survey No.363, at Karadichithur Village, Chinnasalem Taluk, Villupuram District to be made within a fortnight from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and if any encroachment is found, official respondents shall take action in accordance with law, after giving notice to all concerned, particularly the fourth respondent before us, and conclude the proceedings within a period of two months thereafter.
5. The writ petition, accordingly, stands disposed of. No costs.
