JUDGMENT / ORDER

The prayer in the writ petition is for a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus, calling for the records and to quash the impugned order dated 21.11.2009, bearing Ref.No.317/2009 passed by the 1st Respondent and directing the Respondents to provide a new Electricity Service Connection forthwith to the petitioner's licensed area at Plot No.53, Senaiyar Colony, Raja Mill Road, Madurai ? 625 001, comprised in T.S.No.1208/22/2A, on payment of usual charges that are collected for giving new connection without demanding the arrears kept by the erstwhile owner.
2.Heard both sides.
3.Though the petitioner has come out with the present writ petition with the above said prayer, challenging the impugned order of the respondent dated 21.11.2009, by and under which the service connection request made by the petitioner was rejected for the reason that the owner of the premises, for which new connection has been been sought for, has to pay dues to the respondent TANGEDCO, today the learned Standing counsel for the respondents has produced a communication in Letter No.c.kp.bgh/g/jrq;fk;/bfhW2/nfh./m.vz;.7/17 issued by the Assistant Electrical Engineer, TANGEDCO, Tamil Sangam, Madurai ? 1, wherein it has been informed to the Legal Department of the respondents that the owner of the premises one M.Selvaraj had paid the entire dues to the extent of Rs.1,29,453/- on 10.09.2013 itself.
4.The learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents would further submit that pursuant to the said amount having been paid by the owner of the premises, for which new connection was sought to be made, subsequently service connection has been granted to the petitioner and no further adjudication is required in this writ petition as the petitioner's grievance has been redressed.
5.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner has also endorsed the said submission made by the learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents and he would submit that the petitioner has got new service connection from the respondents.
6.In view of the submissions made by the learned counsel appearing for the respective parties, after taking on record the proceedings referred to above, this Writ Petition is disposed of as no further order is required in this writ petition, since the prayer sought for by the petitioner has already been accomplished.
No costs. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
