The petitioner, registered owner of a Chevrolet Beat car bearing Reg.No KL-07/BQ-1647 is aggrieved by the non issue of his Registration Certificate by the respondent. According to the petitioner, his Registration Certificate had been despatched to him by registered post. However, he did not receive it since he was abroad. He has therefore sought for the issue of the same, afresh. 2. According to the Government Pleader, the original Registration Certificate had been despatched to the petitioner by registered post. The same was not returned to the respondent. Therefore, the respondent is not in a position to say what happened to the same. The only course open to the petitioner now, is to submit a fresh application for the issue of a duplicate Registration Certificate. be considered and necessary action taken thereon.
In view of the above, this writ petition is disposed of directing the petitioner to submit an application for the issue of a duplicate Registration Certificate. If such an application is submitted, the respondent shall consider the same and pass orders thereon, expeditiously, in accordance with law.
