This writ petition can be disposed of in view of the prayer sought for therein.
The petitioner is a Toddy Tapers Cooperative Society at Jawahar Nagar village, Shameerpet Mandal, Ranga Reddy District. The General Body of the society appears to have met on 26-03-2013 at about 11.00 A.M. A resolution was passed therefor granting admission to 11 members who are otherwise qualified to secure such admission. A copy of the resolution passed by the society has been made available to the Prohibition and Excise Superintendent, Medchal, Ranga Reddy District, for taking necessary action in that regard, he being the Registrar of the Cooperative Societies like that of the petitioner. The Prohibition and Excise Superintendent, Medchal, Ranga Reddy District, passed orders through his proceedings Cr.No.631/2013/Coop. Dated 18-05-2013 directing the Station House Officer, Medchal, to enquire into the matter and send a detailed report. Since the report called for has not been made available to the Prohibition and Excise Superintendent so far, as per the learned Counsel for the petitioner, the admission process of 11 new members could not be finalized.
In these set of circumstances, respondent No.3 – Station House Officer, Excise Station, Medchal, Ranga Reddy District, is directed to finalize the enquiry and submit a report called for by the Prohibition and Excise Superintendent, Medchal, Ranga Reddy District, on 18-05-2013, within a period of thirty days from today. Based thereon, the Prohibition and Excise Superintendent, Medchal, Ranga Reddy District, will take appropriate action and communicate the same to the writ petitioner within a period of fifteen days thereafter.
The Writ Petition stands disposed of with this order at the admission stage. Miscellaneous Petitions pending, if any, in this writ petition shall also stand closed. No order as to costs.
