1. This writ petition is filed seeking a direction in relation to certain criminal cases and also challenging the decision of the competent authority refusing to take action under the provisions of KAAPA.
2. Insofaras the issue as to whether a citizen can seek a writ of mandamus to compel issuance of action under KAAPA is concerned, the point stands covered against the petitioner as per the judgment of this Court in Sunilkumar v. State of Kerala and others [2014(4) KHC 821 (DB)]. We follow that judgment and reject such relief, accordingly.
3. The writ petition enumerates different criminal cases WPC.No.19971/14 2 registered by different police stations. The statement of the Government also shows the existence of such criminal cases. It is directed that the investigation in those cases will go in accordance with law and shall be carried on appropriately in due course. That is the only direction which is called for in this writ petition.
Writ petition is ordered accordingly.
