Learned APP Ms. Krina Calla waives service of notice of Rule for the respondent - State.
The applicant has preferred this application for reduction of the personal bond amount. The applicant was granted furlough by the jail authority on a personal bond of Rs.25,000/-. Thereafter, a representation was made and the bond amount was reduced from Rs.25,000/= to Rs.10,000/=. It is submitted that the convict prisoner hails from a very poor family and finds it extremely difficult to furnish the revised surety amount of Rs.10,000/.
Considering the above aspect, I deem it just and proper to modify the personal bond amount for furlough to an amount of Rs.2,000/=. The other terms and conditions while granting furlough remain as they are.
With the aforesaid observation and direction, this application is allowed. Rule made absolute to the aforesaid extent. Direct Service is permitted.
