JUDGMENT / ORDER

The petitioner is aggrieved by the detention of his goods under the KVAT Act vide Exts.P1 and P2 notices. The allegation against the petitioner is that the goods have been transported without any document to cover the transportation as contemplated under the Act.
2. I have heard the Government Pleader and the other respondents.
In the facts and circumstance of the case, I direct the respondent to release the goods and the vehicle subject to payment of 50% of the amounts demanded under Exts. P1 and P2 notices and executing a bond without sureties for the balance amount. The respondent shall then follow the procedure for getting the matter adjudicated under the KVAT Act.
