Respondents PRAYER: Petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a writ of Mandamus directing the respondents not to permit political parties to conduct political meetings inside the Nannilam Bus Stand pursuant to the representation dated 28.11.2016.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the parties.
3. The petitioner has filed this writ petition seeking issuance of a writ of Mandamus directing the respondents not to permit political parties to conduct political meetings inside the Nannilam Bus Stand pursuant to the representation dated 28.11.2016.
4. The grievance of the petitioner is that the respondents are permitting conduct of political meetings inside the Nanilam Bus Stand and the same is causing undue hardship and inconvenience to the general public, more specifically to aged persons and school children, as the buses are stopped far away from the bus stand. It is stated that in this regard the petitioner has already sent a representation to the first respondent on 28.11.2016, but no action has been taken based on the same till date. Hence, the present writ petition.
5. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, we direct the first respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 28.11.2016 and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law, after affording an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner. The said exercise shall be concluded within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
The writ petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs.
