JUDGMENT / ORDER

The petitioner has come up with the present petition seeking a direction to the respondent police to expedite the investigation and file a final report in connection with Crime No.1138 of 2016 before the learned Judicial Magistrate No.V, Madurai District, within a time stipulated by this Court.
2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Criminal side) for the respondent.
3. Taking into consideration the nature of the allegations in the First Information Report, no direction can be issued by this Court for completing the investigation within a time bound manner. However, the respondent police is directed to expeditiously complete the investigation in Crime No.1138 of 2016 and either file a closure report or a charge sheet, as the case may be.
4. This Criminal Original Petition is disposed of with the above direction.
