JUDGMENT / ORDER

3. The petitioners herein are the wife, daughters and sons of the original writ petitioner, who is now no more. The circumstances stated in the affidavits filed in support of the above miscellaneous petitions would qualify as justifiable reasons and sufficient cause for granting extension of time.
4. These petitions are accordingly ordered and the petitioners herein are directed to comply with the directions issued in the said common order dated 18.9.2017 on or before 26.4.2021. If payment is effected in terms of the said common order dated 18.9.2017, the petitioners herein are entitled to treat the assessment orders dated 1/2 https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis/ 2 T.S.SIVAGNANAM,J RS 28.3.2002, 28.3.2002 and 30.3.2005 respectively for the assessment years 1996-97, 1995-96 and 1997-98 as show cause notices and submit their objections within 10 days therefrom. If such objections are submitted, the Assessing Officer shall consider the same, afford an opportunity of personal hearing to the petitioners herein or their authorized representative and redo the assessment in accordance with law. If the petitioners herein fail to comply with the said common order within the extended time, the benefit of this order will not enure to the petitioners herein and the above miscellaneous petitions would stand dismissed automatically without any further reference to this Court and it is made clear that no further extension of time will be granted.
