JUDGMENT / ORDER

The only prayer is with respect to the recovery proceedings initiated against the petitioners and the hardship insofar as payment of the same, since the petitioners are all housewives without any employment. Obviously, the Writ Petition, filed in the year 2012, is said to be still alive since no recovery has been effected. The petitioners pray that the Bank may be directed to consider their application for waiver of penal interest.
2. If the petitioners make such applications within two weeks from today, the Bank shall consider the same. It is made clear that this Court has not observed on the merits of the claim of the petitioners and it would be incumbent upon the Bank to consider the merits and pass orders. The petitioners can settle the amount as directed by the respondent - Bank.
The Writ Petition is disposed of.
