This criminal original petition has been filed seeking for a direction to the learned Principal District & Session Judge, Chengalpattu to expedite the trial in SC NO.34/2016 within the time limit framed by this Hon'ble Court.

3.The limited relief sought for in the present petition is for a direction to the learned Principal District and Session Judge, Chengalpattu, to expedite the trial in S.C.No.34 of 2016.
4.The grievance of the petitioner is that though the charge sheet was filed in the year 2009, proceedings are still pending.
5.In view of the long pendency of the case and without going into merits of the case, there shall be a direction to the learned Principal District & Session Judge, Chengalpattu, to expedite the trial in SC No.34 of 2016 and complete the same within a period of six months, from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
6. With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition is allowed.
