JUDGMENT / ORDER

The limited prayer in this original petition filed under Article 227 of the Constitution of India is for a direction to the Munsiff Court, Chengannur to expedite the trial of O.S.No.227/1996 and dispose it of within a time fixed by this Court. 2. The petitioner claims to be the first defendant in the said suit. After the initial disposal of the suit, the matter was carried in appeal wherein the appellate court allowed the appeal and remanded the matter to the Munsiff Court and since then the matter is pending. The petitioner points out that she is aged 88 years as of now and further dragging of the suit will cause considerable loss and injury to her. She therefore prays that there may be a direction to the court below to dispose of the suit as expeditiously as possible.
3. Considering the nature of the order that is proposed to be passed by this Court, notice to the respondents appears to be unnecessary.
The prayer being a limited one, this original petition is allowed and there will be a direction to the Munsiff Court, Chengannur to take up O.S.No.227/1996 and dispose it of as expeditiously as possible, at any rate, within a period of six months from the date of receipt of a copy of this judgment.
