JUDGMENT / ORDER

[Order of the Court was made by G.R.SWAMINATHAN, J.] The writ petitioner seeks provision of basic amenities to the visitors, devotees and tourists in Agastiyar Falls, Papanasam, Tirunelveli District.
2.When the writ petition was taken up for hearing, it was submitted by respondents that the area falls within a reserved forest. If development activities are permitted within reserved forest, it was only endanger wildlife. It is better that areas ear marked as reserved forests remain as they are at present. What is perceived as development can only be detrimental to nature. We therefore, do not find any reason to issue the direction sought for in this petition.
3.This Writ Petition stands dismissed. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is dismissed.
