The complaint of the petitioner in this writ petition is that, the property of the petitioner was acquired by the respondents for the construction of Chovva – Nadal bye pass road, pursuant to a notification under Section 4(1) of the Land Acquisition Act, 1894, published on 1.11.1997. However, the compensation amount has not been paid so far. Ext.P1 is the award passed in the case of the petitioner. The award is dated 30.9.2013. The petitioner seeks the issue of appropriate directions for payment of the award amount. 2. The Govt. Pleader on instructions submits that the entire amount would be paid within a period of four months from today.
In view of the above this writ petition is disposed of WPC 19161/2014 2 recording the undertaking of the Govt. Pleader made on behalf of the respondents that the entire award amount due as per Ext.P1 award would be paid to the petitioner within an outer limit of four months from today.
