ORDER:
Heard the learned Counsel for the petitioner and Sri A.K.Jayaprakash Rao, learned Standing Counsel for the respondents.
The petitioner’s mother was appointed as Sweeper on temporary basis in the erstwhile A.P. Housing Board on 25.11.1988. Her services were regularized on 19.01.1999 in pursuance of G.O.Ms.No. 212, dated 24.03.1979 and G.O.Ms.No. 130 (F&P), dated18.03.1981 as Worked Charged Employee. She died on 09.03.2010. After her death, the petitioner made a representation on 15.09.2010 to the authorities of the respondent requesting them to appoint him on compassionate grounds. Thereafter he made another representation on 18.03.2014 with the same request. The first respondent issued Memo dated 18.07.2014 rejecting the claim of the petitioner for his appointment on compassionate grounds basing on G.O.Ms.No. 36, Public Enterprises (PE.III) Department, dated 05.09.2001. In this connection, it is submitted by the petitioner that the Government issued G.O.Ms.No. 1, dated 22.2.2008 specifying the procedure governing the scheme on compassionate appointment to the dependants of the deceased Government employees. His version is that he is eligible for appointment on compassionate grounds according to the aforesaid G.O.
In view of the above, the Writ Petition is disposed of directing the respondents to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 18.03.2014 for his appointment on compassionate grounds as per G.O. Ms.No.1, dated 22.02.2008.
The Writ Petition is disposed of at the admission stage. As a sequel thereto, miscellaneous petitions if any pending consideration shall stand closed. No costs.
