The present writ petition has been filed challenging the order dated 24.12.2020 passed by the Deputy Director of Consolidation, Rampur (hereinafter referred to as D.D.C) rejecting the stay application filed by the petitioners in the revision before the D.D.C and against the order dated 31.12.2018 passed by the Settlement Officer of Consolidation.
It would serve no useful purpose to keep the writ petition pending and call for a counter affidavit from the respondents and therefore, the writ petition is being disposed of with a direction to the D.D.C, Rampur to decide Revision No.70/92/19-20 within a period of three months from today in accordance with law after giving the affected parties an opportunity of hearing and without granting any unnecessary adjournment to the parties. The D.D.C shall be at liberty to proceed and hear the case on day to day basis.
With the aforesaid direction, the petition is disposed of.
Meanwhile, in the interest of justice, it is directed that no third party rights shall be created by either of the parties in the disputed plots.
