Teenumol P.D vs Mahatma Gandhi

High Court Of Kerala|20 November, 2014

JUDGMENT / ORDER

The petitioner seeks provisional admission to the IVth semester M.Tech examination. Admittedly, earlier three semesters have to be completed before participation can be effected. This Court had been granting interim orders to persons, who had applied for the 2nd semester supplementary examination and participated in the same but whose results were not published, to appear provisionally in the 4th semester examination. This was only by reason of the delay in scheduling the supplementary examinations. In the present case, it is to be noticed that, the petitioner has not even cleared all the papers in the 1st semester itself and though she was desirous of appearing in the supplementary examination already held, she could not;for her own personal reasons. Whatever WP(C).30975/14 2 be the reason, the petitioner having not appeared in the 1st supplementary examination, she would have to first appear in the supplementary examination and qualify in the same and there can be no provisional order granted for admission in the IVth semester even before clearing all the papers in the 1st semester examination. Writ petition stands dismissed.
