This petition is filed seeking appointment of a third arbitrator to adjudicate upon disputes between the petitioner and respondent arising out of claim under the Standard Fire and Special Perils Policy bearing No.2114/50408764/05/000 dated 06.02.2015 with the respondent Insurance Company for the period 6.2.2015 to 5.2.2016.
2. Both learned counsel suggest the nomination of Mrs.Justice Prabha Sridevan, Former Judge of this Court as the third Arbitrator to constitute the arbitral panel in accordance with clause 13 of the policy.

Accordingly and upon consent of both parties, I appoint Mrs. Justice Prabha Sridevan, Former Judge of this Court, residing at No.7, Krishnaswamy Iyer Avenue, Luz Church Road, Mylapore, Chennai – 4, (9444390920), as Sole Arbitrator to enter upon reference and adjudicate disputes inter se the parties. She may, after issuing notice to the parties and upon hearing them, endevour to pass an award as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of six months from the date of receipt of this order. The learned Arbitrator is at liberty to fix her remuneration and other incidental expenses. As requested by the parties, the proceedings may be conducted under the aegis of the Madras High Court Arbitration Centre and in accordance with the Madras High Court Arbitration Rules.
4. The Original Petition is, accordingly, allowed, leaving the parties to bear their own costs.
